Felt dumb when I realized finches just need a specific perch angle to use a tube feeder
Spent like 3 weeks wondering why goldfinches ignored my fancy new feeder until I tilted the perches down 15 degrees and now they show up every dawn like clockwork has anyone else had to tweak something dumb like that?

My feeder tube diameter matters more than angle for pine siskins visiting here.

Bought a new feeder last month just for pine siskins and totally get what you mean about the tube size. @annaw73 had it right that it drove her nuts too, I actually swapped out the perches first before realizing the issue was the hole diameter. Ended up drilling them out a tiny bit wider and now the siskins zip in and out without any trouble.
