Finally bought a proper thermal camera for about $400... best money I've spent in years. Found a hot neutral in a panel that was just warm to the touch, would've taken me an hour to track down without it.

That "best money I've spent in years" line is a bit much for me. A hot neutral is a real problem, but you can find it with a cheap voltmeter and some time. Spending four hundred bucks just to skip an hour of basic troubleshooting feels like buying a race car to get groceries. It's a cool tool, but calling it your best purchase seems like you're just excited about the new toy.

Reminds me of the time my buddy spent all weekend tracing a bad ground with his old meter. Sometimes the new toy is worth it, dylanh52.

But my time is worth more than that hour.
