I swore those Wago lever nuts were a gimmick for years but I finally caved

Been doing residential for about 12 years and always used twist-on connectors. Last month I had to wire up 12 canless recessed lights in a tight attic in Austin and got sick of fighting with wire nuts in that cramped space. Bought a 50-pack of Wago 221s on a whim and finished that job in half the time. Has anyone else had a tool or connector they ignored for years that turned out to actually be worth the hype?

... okay but are we really acting like a few loose wires in an attic is the same as building a bridge or something? I mean yeah lever nuts are handy for low voltage or quick stuff but I've had them pop off when I was just trying to stuff 'em back in a box and the weight of the wires pulled 'em loose. Plus those little levers are plastic man, I've seen people snap 'em off because they cranked down too hard. Maybe it's not that deep though...

a jambox vibrating nearby" - you actually seen one fly off from that?

C'mon man, I gotta push back on this one lol. Lever nuts are fine for small quick jobs but I've seen too many of them crack or pop off when you've got 4-5 wires crammed in there and a jambox vibrating nearby. Twist-ons might take an extra 30 seconds but they're way more forgiving if some homeowner decides to yank on a wire later.
