Little thing I see apprentices mess up all the time with wire nuts
I keep seeing guys strip way too much insulation off before twisting on wire nuts. You only need about 5/8 of an inch, not a full inch. Leaves bare copper hanging out past the nut and that's a short waiting to happen. Had to fix three separate service calls last month where this caused a breaker to trip. Any of you guys notice this getting worse with new people?
