Shoutout to my foreman who told me to always check the panel schedule
Got a call for a flickering light in a 1970s apartment building. Owner said it was just a bad bulb. My foreman said check the panel schedule first. Found the circuit was overloaded with three mini fridges on it. Rebalanced the load and the flickering stopped. Anyone else have a simple tip that saved a ton of time?

My old boss used to say 80% of problems come from ignoring the simple checklist. @kellyjones is right, people hate reading the manual.

No kidding. That schedule is a lifesaver. People always want to skip the basics and jump to the fancy stuff. But half the time the answer is right there on the door. Your foreman knows what's up. Saved you a whole lot of headache.

It's actually the posted inspection schedule that saved me. The foreman just pointed to it. The basics are usually written down somewhere.
