Showerthought: feeder conduit should come pre-lubed from the factory
Last Tuesday I spent three hours trying to pull 4/0 copper through a 60 foot run of 3 inch EMT that had three sweeps in it. We used a tugger and two bottles of lube and it still got stuck halfway. I had to cut the pipe open with a sawzall right in the middle of a finished ceiling. Never again will I trust a long run without a pull box at every second bend. The hardest part was patching the drywall after. Has anyone else had a run go sideways like that and had to bust out the drywall tools?
