Vent: Doorway stretches made a huge difference for my overhead wiring aches

In my experience, all that time with my arms up installing fixtures left my shoulders really tight. A buddy showed me how to lean into a door frame and hold it to stretch out my chest and shoulders. Doing that for a few minutes each morning has cut down on the soreness a lot. Take this with a grain of salt, but it might help if you have the same problem.

Seriously? Just leaning into a door frame made that big of a difference? I find it hard to believe that a few minutes of stretching can undo all that tightness from installing fixtures. My shoulders ache all the time from similar work, and I've spent money on massages and gels. None of that stuff really helped for long. But if your buddy's trick worked, maybe the simple stuff is worth a try. I'm going to test it out and see if it helps me too!

Try not to laugh when a simple lean fixes what expensive gels couldn't.

Wild how the simple stuff hits different. Reminds me of when my old boss fixed a squeaky floor just by shifting a bookcase, after we'd talked about calling a contractor. @smith.anna might be onto something with trying the lean.
