My uncle said to always check the fuse on a dead microwave before anything else

I spent an hour taking apart a Panasonic microwave from 2018, testing every part with my multimeter. The 15 amp fuse on the main board was blown, a five cent part that took two minutes to swap. How many simple jobs have you overcomplicated because you assumed the worst?

Spent a whole weekend convinced my washing machine pump was shot, pulling it all apart in a panic. Ordered a new one, waited for shipping, everything. Turns out a single sock had gotten past the filter and was just stuck in the hose. Felt like a total genius after that five minute fix.

That's the worst feeling, doing all that work only to find the easy fix. Been there with a laptop I thought was totally dead. It's always the cheapest part that causes the biggest headache, right?

My buddy Jake replaced his whole car stereo before checking the aux cord.
