That time I argued for solder wick at a club meeting and got weird looks

We were at our local electronics repair club, and everyone was talking about how desoldering pumps are the best. I had to speak up because I think solder wick is way more useful for tricky jobs. Like last week, I fixed a tiny audio board where a pump would have sucked up nearby parts. People looked at me like I was crazy, lmao. Another time, wick let me clean up a mess without risking damage. It's just my view, but I stick by it for careful fixes.
