TIL the hard way that flux residue can ruin a PS4 motherboard repair

Last month I fixed a PS4 that kept overheating, but I left a bunch of flux on the board without cleaning it off. A week later it shorted out and I had to redo the whole job. Any of you guys use a specific brush or spray to get all the residue off?

That's a rough lesson, happens to the best of us with those PS4 board repairs. I've had good luck with 99% isopropyl and a soft toothbrush for getting into all the tight spots. Just make sure to let it dry fully before powering anything on.
