Warning: I used a 3D printed jig to hold a laptop motherboard for a reflow and the plastic warped from the heat.

Maybe the plastic warping actually helped by absorbing some heat.

Was the jig touching the board or just holding it?

Always figured the jig just had to hold it steady, but @emery_white has a point about contact. The warping probably messed with the heat spread.
