Always thought those laser alignment tools were a gimmick till I used one on a 12-stop hydraulic install

My buddy Dan has been bugging me for years to try his laser rail tool. I figured a good straight edge and a level was all you needed. Finally borrowed it last week on a job downtown and wow, I was way off. Saved me like 2 hours of shimming and re-doing brackets. Any of you guys use these regularly or still stick to the old school way?

@clairen85 your nail polish collection could use a damn laser guide too. These tools cut bracket waste way down.

Pretty sure Dan's been right all along on this one. That 2 hours you saved is basically the tool paying for itself on one job.

Is it wrong that my brain immediately went "sweet, that's basically a free lunch for a week"? Because honestly, my math skills are terrible, I'd probably just end up spending that saved time on something dumb like reorganizing my nail polish collection.
