Got a 30 year old Otis running smooth again just by cleaning the door tracks

Funny how that's usually the case with older stuff" - yeah @milaw14, that's real. But honestly, I gotta ask though - did you actually fix a stuck door or was it more like the door was just slow and the tracks were really gross? Cause I've worked on those old Otis units and sometimes the door tracks are the easy part. They'll get clogged with dirt and gunk and it'll act like the whole elevator is broken. But I've also seen where cleaning the tracks just masks a bigger issue like a worn out roller or a messed up limit switch. Tbh, I'm curious if you noticed any other little problems after you cleaned it up.

Wait, just the door tracks? That's it? No way a 30 year old Otis was that easy to fix, those things are usually a nightmare. I'm kinda shocked it wasn't something way more complicated.
