Swapped out roller guides for slide guides on a Miconic 10 last month
I always fought with vibration adjustments on the old roller guides, but the slide guides cut my alignment time in half and the ride is way smoother. Anyone else made the switch on a older unit and noticed the same?

Those old roller guides have way more lateral give if you're doing low-speed floor entries. I keep them on my unit for that reason.

I mean I always thought those old roller guides were just outdated junk honestly, but that thing about lateral give for low-speed floor entries actually makes a lot of sense now. I was messing around with a buddy's older unit last weekend and noticed it did feel way smoother when we were working on those slow, tight spots near the base. Maybe it's just me but I think I gotta swap one of my modern guides out and see how it feels on a real job.

I gotta push back on that, @hugo_robinson25. I tried keeping the old roller guides on my Miconic 10 for that lateral give you mentioned, but those slide guides actually give me better control on slow floor entries without the wobble. The ride quality improvement is huge and I haven't missed the rollers one bit since making the change.
