Why does nobody talk about MRL controller overheating in summer?
Last August at the old Mercy Hospital in Akron, I had to pull three MRL controllers offline because the room temp hit 95 degrees. The building's AC unit was shot and nobody thought about backup ventilation for the machine room. Anyone else run into this and find a cheap fix that works?

You ever notice how machine rooms always seem to get the worst of everything? Last summer we had a similar deal with an old elevator controller, ended up pulling the door off its hinges just to get airflow through the hallway.

Funny you mention that, because my buddy runs a small IT repair shop out of his garage and he's got a window unit just jammed into the side of the building with plywood and duct tape holding it in place. Looks like something from a Mad Max movie, honestly. He says it's the only way to keep the servers from cooking themselves during the summer months. I've seen him rig up a box fan in the door frame during one heatwave, just to get by until he could fix the AC. Makes you wonder how these places are designed in the first place, you know?
