Can we talk about a client who asked for a 'glass skin' facial in Minneapolis?

She told me she'd been using a 10% glycolic acid toner every single night for months, and her barrier was completely wrecked. Has anyone else had to talk someone down from over-exfoliating because of a trend?

@felix_black, good lighting helps but wrecked skin is real, so maybe the trend isn't the only problem?

Honestly, the trend chasing is the real problem here. People see a look online and just go all in without any real knowledge. Tbh, wrecking your skin barrier for a look that's mostly good lighting and makeup is just sad. We need to be teaching people how to actually care for their skin, not just how to copy a filter.

My skin barrier still hasn't forgiven me for that 2016 baking trend, so @adamr14 might be onto something.
