Had a client come in for a basic facial and ended up with a full-blown chemical peel consultation (and a booking) because of a product she brought in.

Ever have a client bring in a product so wrong for them it practically begs for an intervention? I once had someone bring in a gritty apricot scrub for their rosacea. We ended up having a long talk about gentle cleansers instead. Felt less like a sales pitch and more like a public service.

Oh man, that apricot scrub story hurts. I see people with really dry, sensitive skin using those harsh foaming cleansers all the time and it just makes me wince. You really did them a solid by steering them toward something gentle. It's crazy what people think they need versus what actually helps.

What was the product she brought in? I'm always amazed at what people pick up off the shelf, thinking it's a fix-all. There's so much bad info out there. Did she have any idea it was pushing her toward a much more intense treatment?
