Had to choose between a cheap LED mask or saving for a professional one

Honestly, I was stuck for a full month trying to pick between a $60 LED mask I saw online and saving up for a $350 professional grade one for my home clients. The cheap one had all these wild promises, but the reviews were mixed. I went with the cheap one, thinking I'd test it on myself first. Ngl, after two weeks of use, the light panels started flickering and the fit was awful, it kept sliding off. I ended up wasting that money and my clients noticed the difference in my confidence when I tried to use it. Now I'm just putting aside $50 a week until I can get the proper tool. Has anyone else had a bad experience with those budget at-home devices and found a good mid-range option that actually works?

Disagree about the flickering being a power supply issue. I've used a few of those cheap masks and the flicker always came from the cheap internal wiring or a bad connection in the strap hinge. The power brick they give you is usually junk too. It's just poor build quality, not your house wiring.

Wait, the light panels started flickering after just two weeks? That's insane.

Honestly makes me wonder about the power supply in the building itself. I had a similar issue with brand new LED bulbs in my old apartment. Turns out, the wiring was just a bit old and caused a tiny, constant voltage drop. Everything else worked fine, but the sensitive electronics in the lights couldn't handle it. A cheap voltage monitor from the hardware store showed the problem right away.
