I was at a big spa in Austin and saw something that made me think about our tools
They had a whole section of their facial room with these super high-tech LED masks and machines, all brand new and shiny. But the esthetician working on me said she still prefers her basic, manual extraction tools for certain skin types. It got me wondering, is all the new tech really better, or are we losing touch with some of the hands-on skills that got us here? What do you all think about balancing fancy gear with classic techniques?

Honestly, the best results come from mixing both. That esthetician is right, some things just need a human touch no machine can copy. I always start with the classic tools to assess the skin, then bring in the tech for the heavy lifting.

My esthetician still uses a magnifying glass from 1998.

Totally agree. That old-school visual check spots things a screen might miss.
