My steamer decided to quit halfway through a full book of back-to-back facials

It happened last Tuesday, right before my 3 PM client. The unit just stopped making steam, and the reservoir was still half full. I had to finish that facial with warm towels, which added about 10 extra minutes to my routine. Ended up running 15 minutes behind for the rest of the afternoon. It's a 5-year-old unit, so maybe it was just its time. Has anyone found a reliable brand that holds up under heavy use?

My old Clarisonic lasted eight years, no joke.

Mine went strong for about six years before it finally quit. The key was keeping it dry between uses and only using the gentlest brush heads. I never charged it overnight either, just until the light turned green. That routine seemed to really stretch its life out.

Honestly, I had the total opposite experience. I did all that careful stuff with mine, letting it air out and using the sensitive brush, and it still conked out after just two years. The motor got weak and it sounded sad, like a tired bee. Maybe I just got a bad one, but it made me give up on the whole system.
