PSA: I was steaming faces for way too long at my old spa in Tampa.
A client with rosacea came in last week and her face was bright red after my usual 10 minute steam. Her dermatologist told her to limit heat exposure to under 3 minutes. I felt awful. Now I'm debating if standard steaming times are outdated for sensitive skin. Do you adjust your steam time for every client or stick to a set protocol?

Tampa steam rooms are basically face saunas.

Wait, face saunas? @harperg76 are you telling me people actually stick their faces in there?

Feel terrible when that happens. I definitely adjust steam time based on skin type now. A set protocol just doesn't work for everyone.
