Question about using ice rollers before extractions

I tried icing a client's face for 5 minutes before extractions last Tuesday and it seemed to make the gunk slide out easier, but a coworker swears it just tightens the pores and makes things harder - which side has the science on this one?

Jumped on it too fast and ended up spilling coffee on my desk the next morning trying to recreate the magic. Guess that's what I get for thinking I had it figured out.

Did you at least get to drink any of it before the spill happened? That's the worst, when you nail something and then cannot for the life of you repeat it the next day. I've done that with a recipe before and just ended up ordering takeout instead of trying again. Hope your desk survived the coffee bath okay.
