Spent $900 on a electrolysis machine off Craigslist and it nearly ruined my business
Got a used one from some lady in Denver who said it worked fine. First client broke out in tiny red bumps all over her chin. Turns out the settings were way off and I didn't check the calibration. Had to refund her and spend another $300 on a proper unit from a supplier. Anyone else get burned buying secondhand equipment and wish they just went new from the start?

Machine calibration can go way off during shipping, that's the real issue here. Not exactly the seller's fault but you definitely should have tested it first.

Did you even try testing it out before your first client came in? I feel like that's the kind of mistake you only make once but man that's a rough way to learn.

Oh man, @hannah_perry, that reminds me of the time I set up a whole smoker for a party and forgot to check the propane line...
