That $200 peel and stick LED strip melted off my ceiling after 3 weeks of facials

Bought those cheap adhesive light strips off Amazon for my treatment room lighting and the heat and humidity from my steamer made them fall right off and nearly catch the drywall on fire, has anyone found a proper tack or mount solution that actually holds up?

OH man that is TERRIFYING. I actually switched to a different approach entirely - I use those magnetic track systems meant for under-cabinet kitchen lights. The strips come with adhesive metal backing plates that stick to the ceiling, and the LED strip itself clips into a magnetic channel. That way if it DOES get hot or moist, the strip can fall away from the metal backing without ripping paint or drywall off, and the metal plate stays put because it's got better heat distribution. The channel keeps the actual electronics about half an inch off the surface too so nothing is sitting directly on your ceiling getting baked.

...and that's exactly why my ceiling currently has a very modern art deco scorch mark. I went with these little plastic mounting clips that screw into the drywall (they're meant for rope lights but they work fine), and I just slide the strip in so it's not touching anything flammable. Hasn't budged in six months, even with my steamer going full blast like a tropical storm in here.

@river_allen did you try those 3M command hooks? They worked perfect for my setup.
