The debate on LED masks - are they really worth the price tag?
I've been seeing estheticians in my area charging $100 extra per session for LED therapy, but I tested a $30 at-home mask from Amazon against my clinic's $600 one. After 3 weeks on my own face (left side with the cheap one, right side with the pro model), I noticed zero difference in redness or fine lines. A client said her derm told her the cheaper masks lack power, but aren't the wavelengths all the same in the end? Anyone else run a side-by-side test and see different results?

My $40 mask from Target did literally nothing after a month of daily use.

Wait, did you use it every single day like it says on the box? I mean, I know their masks are pretty basic but mine actually helped a little when I stuck with it for a few weeks. Maybe it's just my skin type or something, but I feel like a lot of people expect too much from a $40 drugstore product. idk, I just think sometimes you gotta adjust your expectations a bit and not blame the product right away.

Guess my face is just on a budget too, because it couldn't tell the $30 from the $600 one. Almost feels like paying extra for the fancy mask is just paying for the placebo effect with a prettier box. At this point I'd rather just put the $100 toward some good skincare and call it a day.
