Used to spend 20 minutes prepping my LED lamp between clients. Now I just keep it on and adjust the timer.

Back when I started doing facials in 2019, I'd turn off my lamp and wipe it down between every single client. Took forever and I kept forgetting to check the timer. Then my coworker Sarah told me last summer that leaving it on is totally fine as long as you clean the surface daily. Now I just hit the timer button and move on. Has anyone else found a weird routine they wasted time on for way too long?

Honestly how much time were you really saving by turning it off? Feels like one of those things where you worry about it way more than you actually need to.

My buddy Derek tried this for a month last year. Lives five miles from work, same route every day. Tracked it with his phone's stopwatch. He was saving maybe 45 seconds total. That's it. Hit every red light anyway, just waited at the intersection instead of the parking spot. Now he just leaves the car running and doesn't stress about it.
