Vent: That client who insisted on doing her own extractions at home then blamed me for the scars

Had a woman come in last month for a hydrafacial. She kept pointing at her chin where she had these angry red marks. Turns out she'd been using safety pins and alcohol wipes to "pop" her own deep cysts. Told me she watched a tutorial on tiktok. When I tried to explain why that was a bad idea, she got defensive and said my products must be causing breakouts. I was so frustrated I almost walked out. Anyone else dealt with a client who won't listen and then blames you for damage they did themselves?

Did she think safety pins are basically the same as professional tools because they're both metal and pointy? The alcohol wipes probably just irritated everything worse while she was digging around in there. I get that TikTok tutorials make everything look easy but some things really do need a pro.

Yeah my cousin tried the same thing and ended up in urgent care three days later.

Bet those TikTok tutorials don't show the infection and scarring part.
