Wasted $150 on that cryo facial machine from Instagram
Saw an ad for a portable cryo facial tool six months ago. Paid $150 thinking it would help with my clients' inflammation. Turns out it barely gets cold enough to do anything. The ice packs in my freezer work better. Anyone else get tricked by these gadget ads?

Wow, I can't believe people still fall for this stuff. Those portable cryo machines are a total joke. The tech just isn't there yet for a handheld device to get cold enough to actually do anything useful. I looked into the specs on a few of them and they barely hit 40 degrees Fahrenheit, which is basically just a cool breeze. Real cryotherapy needs to be way below freezing to reduce inflammation. You'd honestly get better results holding a bag of frozen peas on your face for a few minutes. Save your money and stick with the ice packs, they've been working for decades.

Holding frozen peas on my face really is my peak skincare routine anyway.

The metal spatula thing that comes with it barely gets cold enough to notice. Ended up returning mine after a week and went back to using the gel face masks you keep in the fridge. Those are cheap and actually stay cold for a good twenty minutes. Another thing that works way better is those cheap ice rollers from the drugstore. They're like ten bucks and you just leave them in the freezer. Hate that I fell for the Instagram hype too but at least now I know better.
