I dropped $80 on a fancy insulated water bottle and it finally got me to drink enough water every day.
It sits on my desk and seeing it there reminds me to take a sip, which sounds simple but I'd tried everything else for months without success.

That's a serious chunk of change for a bottle. Was it the price tag itself that made you commit, like a guilt thing to use it? Or was it a specific feature, like the straw lid or how long it kept things cold, that finally clicked for you?

Honestly, it was the fear of looking like a fool. Spent that much, then left it in a cabinet? Couldn't have that. The straw lid is a nice trick, makes me drink more water pretending it's a fancy juice box. But really, it's about proving to myself I didn't just burn cash on a fancy thermos. Now it goes everywhere, like a security blanket that holds iced coffee.

Totally get that guilt-driven commitment. Made myself use an expensive fancy water bottle just to justify the price tag.
