I just hit 300 days in a row of writing down one good thing that happened, and the weirdest part is I don't feel happier.

Honestly I tried that gratitude journal thing for months and felt the same way, just going through the motions. What finally clicked was making myself write why the small good thing mattered, even just one dumb reason. Like instead of "sunny day" I'd write "sunny day because it meant I could eat lunch outside instead of at my desk staring at the wall." It forces you to actually connect with the moment instead of just listing stuff.

Wonder if you're writing down the same type of thing every day. Maybe you need to dig for the tiny, weird, or hard-won good stuff instead of just the obvious wins.

Totally get that. It's easy to just write "had a good coffee" every day and call it done. The real magic is in the small stuff you almost miss, like finally getting that squeaky door hinge to shut up or finding a tenner in an old coat. Makes you look at your whole day differently.
