My 5 year old nephew told me I was brushing my teeth wrong and honestly he had a point
He said I was scrubbing too hard like a angry janitor instead of doing little circles, and now my gums don't bleed every morning, has anyone else had a kid drop some weird wisdom on them out of nowhere?

Wait kids don't actually learn proper brushing until like age 2 or 3 so your nephew was probably just repeating what his parents told him.

Is it just me or do we all kinda half-learn stuff as kids and then spend the rest of our lives figuring out we were doing it wrong the whole time? Like how nobody told me you're supposed to wipe front to back until I was like 25, and now I'm overthinking every trip to the bathroom. Honestly, half of being an adult is realizing your parents just made it up as they went along and hoped for the best.

That's a good point. Kids are just repeating what they hear, and it sticks with them in a way that's hard to shake later. So even if a kid gets the idea right, it gets mixed up with all sorts of other half-truths we pick up along the way.
