My toaster died yesterday after 12 years together
Opened it to grab a bagel and the lever just snapped clean off. No warning, no slow fade, just done. Anybody else have an appliance give out on them this suddenly?

I mean yeah it sucks but it's a toaster, not like your dog died. Grab a $20 one at Target and move on.

Respectfully, I see it a bit different. People get attached to the little things that make their morning routine work, you know? It's not about the cost, it's about the annoyance of something breaking that you relied on.
