Tried waking up at 5am for a week straight... got the opposite result I expected

I thought forcing myself up super early would make me more productive, but by day 4 I was crashing so hard by noon I couldn't focus on anything. Does the whole 'early bird' thing actually work for anyone, or is it just a myth that sounds good in theory?
