Unpopular opinion: troubleshooting a boot loop took me 6 hours when it should have been 20 minutes

My old laptop got stuck in a boot loop last Saturday. Everyone online says to just reinstall Windows or check the RAM. I spent 4 hours reseating RAM, swapping drives, running diagnostics. Turned out it was a single corrupted driver from a printer I installed 3 months ago. Six hours gone because I didn't think to check the simple stuff first. Has anyone else wasted a whole day on something that dumb?

Oh man that's the worst kind of bug.

Found that restarting the unit and unplugging it for 30 seconds usually clears weird glitches for me.

Read an article saying it resets the power supply capacitors or something similar.
