Vent: Spilled an entire pot of coffee on my laptop at 6am

I was rushing to get out the door for a 7am meeting, and my elbow caught the handle of my full thermos right as I was reaching for my bag. Coffee went everywhere, including into the USB ports, and now my keyboard is sticky and three keys don't work. Has anyone else had a morning disaster that just wrecked your whole day before it even started?

Unplug it immediately and turn it upside down on paper towels for 24 hours. @elizabeths51 is right, that's a rough way to start - I've killed two keyboards this way, rice in a bag works better than you'd think on the sticky keys.

Wait, did @elizabeths51 spill coffee on their white shirt right before a meeting or something equally tragic? I once dropped my phone in the toilet at 6am and had to fish it out with a spatula, so I feel the pain. Hope the rest of your day turns around, or at least stays above sewer level.
