Counted every casserole dish in my kitchen last night and hit 37

I was cleaning out the cabinets for spring and just started stacking them up. Thirty seven casserole dishes. Some Pyrex from my grandma, a few cheap ones from Walmart, even one I won at a church raffle in 2019. I honestly thought I had maybe 15. My husband just laughed and said we need a garage sale. Has anyone else realized they hoard one specific kitchen thing without noticing?

Is it kind of funny how we just absorb stuff over time without noticing? I've been seeing this with my friends and their coffee mugs, everyone has like a secret collection they didn't plan. It's like our kitchens just grow these things through osmosis or something, you look away for a decade and suddenly you've got a whole army of casserole dishes. Makes you wonder what else we're stacking up in our lives without realizing it.

Think about how many half used jars of spices you own right now. You probably bought one jar of paprika five years ago for a single recipe and now you have a cabinet full of dried herbs you never touch but swear you'll use again. Same thing happens with board games, screwdrivers, and those random charging cables nobody can identify but nobody throws away. We're all just slowly turning into pack rats without realizing it because each individual item seemed useful at the exact moment we got it.
