Grandma's pie crust recipe vs. the one off the Crisco box - which do you use?
I've been using my grandmother's pie crust recipe for years, but last Thanksgiving I tried the one on the Crisco box out of curiosity. Her recipe uses half butter half lard and turns out flaky every time, but the box version was way easier to roll and didn't shrink in the pan. My aunt swears the box version is just as good, but I think the flavor suffers. Has anyone else done a side by side comparison and picked a winner?

Nah, I was team grandma's recipe all the way until last month. Tried the Crisco box version on a whim and honestly it was way less fussy. The flaky texture surprised me too, not gonna lie.

Tried grandma's for 30 years but the Crisco box crust won me over after one Thanksgiving.

Right there with you! I switched to the Crisco box crust two years ago after burning out on my mom's old recipe, and I've never looked back. It's so much easier and honestly comes out just as good if not better.
