Found a trick to keep my nippers from slipping on wet hooves

Had a muddy, rainy day last Tuesday in Cleveland and every single hoof I picked up was slick as glass. Accidentally wiped my nippers on the inside of my sleeve (which was soaked with sweat and rain) and suddenly they had way more grip. Has anyone else found a weird angle or material that works better for keeping tools steady in wet conditions?

Is it really that deep though? A little slip on some wet hooves and now we're reinventing the wheel on nipper grip. Seems like a lot of fuss over something that happens sometimes.

Honestly it's just like how wet hands make everything harder, same principle with tools and mud.

People are acting like this is some groundbreaking discovery and not just basic common sense. Of course slippery tools are harder to use, we all learned this when we were like six years old and tried to cut construction paper with wet scissors. It's the same reason why you don't see surgeons operating with butter fingers, or why mechanics wipe their tools down before an oil change. This whole thread feels like a bunch of people who just discovered that water makes things wet and decided to write a thesis about it.
