Client told me my zipper seams were puckering

I spent two years thinking puckered zippers were just how fabric worked until a seamstress at a craft fair looked at my jacket and said "your feed dogs are fighting you." Started using a walking foot for denim and nylon and now I don't have to redo half my zippers. Anyone else figure out a simple fix late?

Oh man, my buddy swore by pins for years until his jacket zipper exploded at a party and he finally tried a walking foot.

Oh man, walking foot is a lifesaver for zippers. Game changer for sure.

Yeah, the "game changer" part really got me. I used to think walking feet were overrated, figured you could just pin everything and muscle through. But I finally tried one on a heavy denim jacket with a separating zipper and holy crap, it made such a difference. No more fighting the feed dogs or getting that weird bunching at the bottom. I was wrong, it really does change everything for zippers.
