Finally got my pattern grading to stop looking like a funhouse mirror

I used to just scale the whole thing up on my computer, which made the armholes huge and the waist weird. Now I grade each section separately, starting with the shoulder, and the fit is actually right. Anyone else have a grading trick that saved them a ton of time?

Nice, that's a smart way to do it.

Assumed grading was just about making things bigger or smaller. Your method of starting at the shoulder makes way more sense for keeping the proportions right. I'm going to try that on my next project.

Yeah, I've been there with the weird armholes, it's so frustrating.
