Memorable isn't always good, @fiona985, but that kind of direct feedback can really help you grow.

My old boss at the HVAC company gave me a brutal review my first year. I thought he was just being mean. Took me a few months to realize he was the only one trying to actually teach me something. That direct feedback stung but it fixed mistakes I didn't even know I was making. Now I see it as a favor, even if it felt harsh at the time.
