Saw a jacket with integrated LED lights at a show in Seattle, figured it was just a gimmick.

Tried making a simple version for a cycling vest, and the visibility improvement is huge. Anyone have tips for making the wiring less bulky?

Lol, of course the RC plane guy has the secret weapon. My first attempt looked like I was trying to wear a robot's nervous system. That hot glue trick is genius, definitely stealing that.

My old setup used thick speaker wire and it was a mess. Switched to 30 gauge silicone wire from an old RC plane, it's super flexible and almost disappears under the fabric. I ran it along the seams and used hot glue to tack it down flat before sewing the lining back over it. That made a huge difference in how it lays on your body.
