Saw a runway show in Milan that made me hate deconstructed tailoring

They had these jackets with raw edges and weird drapes. Looked like a pile of expensive rags. A clean Issey Miyake pleat from 1998 has more design thought. Who wants to wear something that looks unfinished on purpose? Is there any real appeal to this trend?

Ugh, tell me about it. I just want my clothes to look like someone actually finished making them. The appeal is lost on me, it just looks sloppy.

I just look for the same style but in a finished version. Plenty of brands make clean, simple stuff without the holes.

That Vogue article called it "strategic deconstruction" last year.
