Spilled ink all over a dress I was drafting for a client in Seattle
I was at my kitchen table last Tuesday, working on a silk bodice for a wedding, when my black ink bottle tipped over and soaked the front panel. I managed to rinse it out with cold water and a bit of dish soap, but now I'm wondering if anyone has a go-to fix for faint stains on delicate fabric.

Read a while back that some dry cleaners use a mix of rubbing alcohol and white vinegar for ink stains on silk. 50/50 mix dabbed on with a clean cloth, never pour it directly. Works because alcohol cuts the ink while vinegar lifts it without damaging the fabric. Test on a hidden spot first, silk can be tricky with anything acidic.

Try vodka on a cotton swab, I've dabbed worse stains in my own kitchen disasters.

Vodka works because the alcohol evaporates fast but its also clear so you can see where you're dabbing instead of guessing. Just make sure its not the flavored stuff or you're trading one mess for another.
