Thought upcycling denim was just a trend until I saw a jacket in Portland
I walked past a small shop on Burnside Street last month and saw a jacket made from three different pairs of old jeans. The stitching was really clean and the pockets were placed in a cool way. I tried making my own version with some old pairs I had, and after two tries, it actually came together. Has anyone else tried designing with upcycled denim and found it works better than they thought?

Saw my buddy turn a ripped pair of work jeans into a tool roll for his bike. He swore it was a dumb idea until it held all his wrenches perfectly. Looked pretty sharp, too.

Reminds me of patching my old canvas tent with a denim square from some worn-out shorts. Held up through three more seasons of rain. Sometimes the fix is already in your closet.

My neighbor made a dog bed from his old Carhartt jacket.
