Had a week where every job site was pure mud
We had three vinyl fence installs scheduled back to back in my town after heavy rain, and each yard was a swamp. The worst was a corner lot where our post hole digger got stuck twice, costing us half a day. What's your best trick for keeping a schedule when the ground just won't cooperate?

Schedule a mud day. Block out one day a week, maybe Mondays, for the worst sites and push everything else back. It's a buffer that stops one swamp from wrecking your whole week. You tell clients the ground needs a day to dry, which sounds professional. It's better than showing up, failing, and then scrambling to move three other jobs. This saved us last spring.

Sounds good in theory but clients hate getting bumped last minute lol

We call it weather buffer Tuesday and it saved our schedule twice last month.
