Watching new crews skip the soak tank makes me cringe

We always dipped the posts overnight. Now they come pre-treated from the factory, but it's a thin coat. Fences start leaning after a couple seasons.

Watching them skip that step is like seeing someone build a house on sand. That factory spray is basically a glorified sunscreen, no wonder the whole thing gets tired and leans after a year.

Yeah tell me about it. You can actually see the difference in how long the wood lasts, it's night and day.

Seriously! The factory just mists it on so it barely soaks in. Misses all the end grain and tight corners where water really gets in. No wonder it starts rotting from the inside out so fast.
