My neighbor's comment about his 401k made me check my own
I was talking to my neighbor Dave yesterday about his retirement plan. He said he hadn't looked at his 401k in over a year and just found out it was still in the default fund. He told me, 'I thought it was growing, but it's basically been sitting still.' That hit me because I realized I do the same thing. I set up my account when I started my job and never changed it. I logged in this morning and saw my own money isn't really working hard either. Has anyone else had this wake-up call and actually moved their money around?
