Paid off my last credit card this morning
Three years ago I had $8,400 spread across three cards and felt stuck. I paid off the last one online today and my wife said 'that's it?' when I told her. Has anyone else felt underwhelmed after hitting a big goal they worked toward forever?

$8,400 is a solid chunk of debt, I'm honestly shocked your wife didn't at least crack a smile or a high five. That's a huge win man.

Bro once I paid off a $200 credit card and legit danced around my kitchen like a maniac for a solid 5 minutes. @morgan_martinez my roommate at the time just stared at me like I lost my mind. He was all "its $200 not $2000" but to me it felt huge. Some people just don't get the little wins matter too.

The real win there is breaking the mental cycle, not the dollar amount. That first one out of the way makes the rest feel possible, which is honestly worth more than the cash.
