Threw $400 down the drain on a stock trading course that was all hype
I signed up for this online trading course last March because the guy promised he could teach me to make consistent money in the stock market. Cost me $400 upfront and I spent like 6 weeks watching his videos and following his trades. Turns out he was just using basic technical indicators anyone can Google and his picks were no better than random. I actually lost $200 more buying stocks he recommended that tanked within days. Looking back it was just a sales funnel for his paid group where he upsells you more expensive stuff. Has anyone else fallen for these guru courses or am I the only sucker here?

Used to think I was the problem. This post changed my mind.

@wesley181 puts it right though. It's like we get so used to blaming ourselves that we don't stop to look at who's actually doing the thing. So tell me this - what was the one specific moment or line in the post that finally made you realize it wasn't you? Was it something about boundaries or maybe the way the other person kept deflecting? I ask because I had a similar turn-around myself, but it took a couple of reads before it really clicked for me.

Same here @taylor.sean, I was blaming myself before too. This flips it.
